| Two floors, ten bands, over six hours of music... Is there any better way to spend 4/20? I think not! This show is gonna be huge, and I certainly hope that it will establish stoner rock within the Toronto music scene, which is why I've started spreading the word already. Like the flyer says, tickets are five bucks cheaper in advance, and you can get 'em from here. I hope to see a big turnout, so mark April 20th on your calendars! Peace, Greg

| Unfortunately, Anal Pudding will not be making the trip up from Buffalo for the Sunday Stoner Rock Spectacular. A replacement will be announced shortly. We still have two more copies of their CD, A Nice Poop, though. Lemme know if you want one... | |

| First of all, I'd like to thank Arzgarth for posting about the Sunday Stoner Rock Spectacular in the news section of his site. You can read the announcement at http://www.StonerRock.com/news/news.asp?NewsID=6988However, there are a couple things I'd like to update/clarify. First of all, Anal Pudding will not be playing the show. Between the time I emailed StonerRock.com and the time the announcement was posted, the band dropped off the bill. Secondly, Sons of Otis are not playing, and never were a part of the lineup. There seems to have been some confusion over the fact that the headlining band, Sin Dealer, features Frank Sargent from OTIS on bass. I had never stated that Sons of Otis were playing, (although they did headline a show I promoted earlier this month) but rather mentioned that Sin Dealer featured members of Sea of Green and OTIS amongst its ranks. I apologize for the confusion, and will be announcing a replacement band shortly. In the meantime, you can head on over to toohightogetitright.com, or keep checking this thread for updates. Peace, Greg P.S.: Sin Dealer are opening for WASP at The Phoenix tomorrow nite. If you're in or around the Greater Toronto Area and have 40 dollars to spare, I suggest you check 'em out. They'll also be playing a free show at the Rok Boutique at Queen and Bathurst next Thursday... | |

| It's now official: The Sunday Stoner Rock Spectacular has gotten so big that it needs another nite! The official pre-party will take place at Sneaky Dee's on April 18th, with performances by 900 Lines, Single File to Freedom, Georgian Skull, and The Womb, who'll be celebrating the release of their debut EP. Did I mention that your ticket to the Sunday show will get you into the Friday show for free!? Tickets are still available online, or at Rotate This on Queen St. W. Or you can always keep an eye out for the bearded redhead at Toronto gigs of the bands on the bill. Rumour has it that he might have some tickets on him... | |

| Well, this thread has been getting lotsa views cuz there's a link to it on stonerrock.com. It hasn't led to many registered users or posts, though. I think we need a Diablo Red board on here... | |

| Dude, I'm really not sure what any of that has to do with the Sunday Stoner Rock Spectacular. And I deleted the stuff you posted in the Doom forum because it had nothing to do with doom metal. While it's nice to see that I'm not the only one using this forum, I'd appreciate it if you tried to stay on topic, okay? | |

Considering what happened to Jakk Damage, that comment seems very rude and insensitive in hindsight... Anyways, they had to drop off the bill, and will be replaced by Loa. Check 'em out: http://www.myspace.com/loabandRevised schedule is as follows: 5:00 - 5:30 Nice Cat (Upstairs) 5:35 - 6:05 The Womb (Downstairs) 6:10 - 6:40 On The Verge (Upstairs) 6:45 - 7:15 Salem Saints (Downstairs) 7:20 - 7:50 LOA (Upstairs) 7:55 - 8:25 Diablo Red (Downstairs) 8:30 - 9:10 Georgian Skull (Upstairs) 9:15 - 9:55 Electric Magma (Downstairs) 10:00 - 10:45 Redeemer (Upstairs) 10:50 - 11:35 Sin Dealer (Downstairs) (doors at 4:20) Unfortunately, all the posters and the t-shirts still say Jakk Damage on them, but at this point, there's nothing we can do about that. | |

| This show was both tons of work and tons of fun at the same time, but it's not something I'd do again (for financial reasons). I'll never say never, so if people are still talking about it in five years... then maybe. Speaking of which, I think we still have a few t-shirts, like 7 or 8. They're probably sitting in Rob's basement, so you'll hafta talk to him about that. I'd definitely like to thank all the bands who played last nite. With one exception, you were all very professional and great to work with. Especially Loa, who came in on such short notice, then had to go on after the situation that happened upstairs. I might have more to say later on here or the website, but right now, to be honest, I'm still tripping out on those space cookies that Nice Cat gave me. I probably shouldn't have had more than one... P.S.: I like how we set a new record for users online on 4/20, even though it was only five people... We need more posters in here, damnit! (And I ain't talkin' bout concert posters, either!) | |
