EPISODE 100: April 16, 2011

I hate to have to go out on what was supposed to be a celebration, but at least I'm ending on an even number. Yesterday, the Court of Appeal upheld the CRTC's decision, and CKLN 88.1 went off the air at 6:45 pm. For the time being, the station will continue as an online-only entity, but I'm not sure I'm gonna stick around.

That being said, I never got the chance to say goodbye, so be sure to tune in online to catch the 100th and final episode of Smokin' Green tonite, as I revisit Episode 1 and the bands who took part in the Sunday Stoner Rock Spectacular three years ago. You'll also wanna take note as I play the last-ever song in Smokin' Green history. (What's it's gonna be? Think finality, psychedelic rock, and premature death. That's the only hint I'm giving ya.)

Please note that the player at the top of the website is not functional, as it seems to be synced to the radio feed. However, if you click on one of the live stream icons at http://ckln.fm/multimedia you can pick up the station. I've tried it, and it works.

Playlist will be posted here afterwards, not sure if the podcast feature will work, but if it does, I'll post that up too.

Just got off the phone, and I can now confirm that I'll be joined in the studio by a few of the guys from Sin Dealer, who headlined the Sunday Stoner Rock Spectacular back in the day, and have just recorded their third album, currently in the mixing stages. Should be good times...
