Episode 4: May 8, 2008

Episode 4 will feature music from Diablo Red, Jakk Damage, Dipsomania, and Orn. Not sure what else I'm gonna play... Perhaps some requests?

Where did you get them from, the myspace? If so, that's pretty cool.

Yeah, when I don't have a CD from a band, I just use their Myspace page. The sound quality definitely suffers though, and I hafta boost the levels up big time to make the songs loud enough, so I definitely prefer CDs, and usually won't take requests for songs that I don't have on CD.

Oh, and since my initial post apparently wasn't clear, I will not play The Joint Song by request. Not until I have a CD copy, anyways, cuz playing MP3 files from my email is far too much hassle...

"The Joint Song" has now been posted on our myspace along with another NEW tune called "Never Be Fine". So if you requested to hear it again and they won't play it, you can now listen to it whenever you want here:

Hey Dave,

No offense, but when I'm only on for two hours a week, I'm not gonna play the same songs episode after episode when there are plenty of local bands that are worthy of airplay. I should probably start a new thread in order to clarify a few things about local content on Smokin' Green...

It all goes down tonite, folks! I'm gonna make sure to play some sludge and some doom along with your stoner rock this week...

I plan on listening again tonight, since last week kicked so much ass.

Hmm, that's a possibility. I might be able to fit them into the doom metal set I'll be playing in the second hour of the show.
